Issues

As parents, we believe in proactive involvement when it comes to issues concerning our public schools. Our diverse membership is interested in many different aspects of San Francisco’s public schools. We have identified some key issues facing our schools at the local, state and national levels. We encourage you to learn about the issues that are important to you and to get involved.

Current Issues:

Education Budget Issues
Our district's budget is always extraordinarily tight, as is education funding in California in general. Find out about upcoming actions and how you can advocate for adequate funding for public schools in California on our Education Budget issues page.

Student Assignment System (SAS)
Starting with enrollment for the 2011-12 school year, SFUSD will be using a new student assignment system.. Learn about the history and research that brought us our current system and what the next steps are in this process.
