Two Extra Days in SFUSD's Thanksgiving Break: Rundown of Open Programs
Looking for activities or childcare options during Thanksgiving break? Here's what we've learned about available programs.
San Francisco Unified School District Early Education Department (EED): Open Monday and Tuesday, times vary by site but most will be open 7:30am–5:30pm. Fee is $100 for ExCEL students for two days or $50 for one day. Reduced fees are available in cases of demonstrated hardship. The program will be offered to any ExCEL students and located at the following sites: Bryant, Charles Drew, Ex@Guadeloupe, Sutro, Ex@Monroe, Las Americas, J. Serra, Daniel Webster, Leonard R. Flynn, Redding, Spring Valley. To sign up, contact the principal at the early education site you would like your child to attend (listed above). NOTE: Deadline to apply is November 9. Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco: Open Monday and Tuesday, 10am to 6pm. Free to members. Anyone can become a member by registering in person at a clubhouse and paying a $20 yearly fee. Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco Website

Richmond District Neighborhood Center (RDNC): Camp at Roosevelt MS with offsite field tips. Offered Monday and Tuesday, 10am–4pm. Growth and Learning Opportunities (GLO): Camp at Alvarado Elementary School with offsite field trips. Offered Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 7:30am–6pm. Cost is $75/day or $200 for 3 days for GLO families, $100/day or $275 for 3 days for non-GLO families. GLO ExCel families pay $25/day. GLO Website
Jamestown Community Center: Camp at Buena Vista Horace Mann K–8. Offered Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Cost is $25/day. Jamestown Website
Mariposa Kids Community Project: Camp at TBD location. Offered Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 8:30am–6pm. Cost is $95/day, financial assistance available. Mariposa Kids
