PPS-SF Volunteer Bartenders Slam-Dunked for Schools

PPS-SF hosted our first-ever volunteer bartending event at Cease and Desist on Friday, March 17, 2017.

While guests chatted about public school enrollment and watched March Madness basketball, PPS-SF volunteers poured and mixed drinks. All tips and donations went to the organization. 

The evening underwent a surprise twist when PPS-SF was informed at the end of the business day that all SFUSD assignment letters would be delayed. After a flurry of communications, our staff went to the bar and had a great evening unwinding and answering questions to the best our knowledge. 

Even with the unexpected news of the school assignment letter delay, the event was quite a success. Everyone had a great time in support of our public schools. Thank you very much to our volunteers and to all who attended.
