SFUSD Available School Assignment Period Offers Immediate School Placement
The SFUSD Available School Assignment Period (or ASAP) begins on June 14, 2017.
During this time, families can visit the Educational Placement Center (EPC) in person at 555 Franklin Street and be assigned immediately into a school that has openings.
How does it work?
Any school that has openings and no Wait Pool requests after the May placement period may be requested during the ASAP process. SFUSD posts Wait Pool numbers on their website on June 13, 2017.
Parents can review Wait Pool numbers in advance of visiting the EPC to understand available options. You can still stay in the Wait Pool for your top choice school even if you participate in the ASAP assignment process. The available school spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning on June 14, 2017.
