Attending a school event is a great way to get to know a school community better and support the students and programs!
These are just a few of the many events and celebrations hosted in our SFUSD public schools this spring. Please drop us a line if you would like us to add your school event to the list! Events are ordered by date.
DragonFest, Garfield Elementary School’s night of food, activities and silent auction is Friday, April 26 at 6pm at Telegraph Hill Gymnasium (Garfield is temporarily relocated while its site is undergoing a complete renovation!)
James Lick Middle School’s anniversary celebration (86 years!) is happening on Saturday, April 27, 12pm-4pm.
McKinley Elementary School’s DogFest will be held in Duboce Park on April 27, 11am to 4pm.
AP Giannini Middle School’s Open House, Garden Day, and Community Festival will be held Sunday, April 28, 10am-2pm
Commodore Sloat Elementary School’s spring carnival, A Rainbow A-Fair, is Sunday, April 28, from 11am-3pm. Games, jumpy houses, face painting, food trucks - a full afternoon of excitement on our huge, beautiful outdoor space. Everyone is welcome! Look for the table for incoming families, if that's you!
Taste of Potrero to benefit Daniel Webster ES takes place on Thursday, May 02, 6pm-10pm, at the Midway https://tasteofpotrero.com/
Diane Feinstein Elementary’s Spring Carnival is Saturday, May 4, from 10am-4pm
John O’Connell HS Cinco De Mayo Car Show will be held Saturday May 4, 2019 from 10am to 6pm at John O'Connell High School.
Grattan FunFest will take place on May 4th, 11am to 3pm at Grattan Elementary. Food, music and games: all are welcome!
Francis Scott Key Family Art Day will be on May 5th from 12-4pm at the FSK School yard (enter at gate on 42nd Ave near Kirkham St.) Free admission, fun activities, and food for purchase!
Alvarado New Families Social is May 10, 5pm-6pm at Alvarado Elementary School
Pancake breakfast at Mission HS -join the Mission High community for a GREAT breakfast and even better company! Saturday, May 11, 9am-12:30pm More info and buy tickets ($5) here.
Bayview Hunters Point Arts Festival at Willie Brown Middle school. Wednesday, May 15, from 5:30pm–6:30pm. Showcasing Bayview Brilliance! SFUSD Student Arts Showcase is on display in a celebration of visual and performing Arts from Bret Harte ES, Malcolm X Academy, Dr.Charles Drew, Dr. George Washington Carver ES and Willie Brown middle school
John Muir ES Multicultural Night is Thursday May 16, from 5pm-6:30pm.
Tule Elk EED, Spring Fling Carnival, Saturday May 18, from 11am-2pm for current and new families.
Sherman Elementary School: Spring Garden Party will be held May 18, from 11-2 in Sherman’s beautiful garden for current and new families; Kindergarten Orientation for new kinder families will be held 5/31 from 2:30pm-3:30pm
