Meet the Staff: Chun Yin Li, Chinese Community Outreach Coordinator

Say hello to Chun! As Chinese Community Outreach Coordinator, Chun brings a wealth of experience in family engagement and building bridges between communities. 

Parents for Public Schools of San Francisco is a small but mighty team. We are parents, community leaders, and public school advocates. Our staff represents a wide array of ages, languages, and countries of origin. One thing we share in common: our passion for public education as a foundation of a liveable city for everyone.

Why you choose to do this work:
Chun aims to inform limited English proficient families on relevant school information and encourage this community to participate in their students' academic life. Chun works to relieve language barriers by inviting parent participation in school events and utilizing easy communication methods to raise awareness. By bridging cultural and language gaps, both families and schools work together to boost student learning

Fun fact about Chun (outside of work): I enjoy singing karaoke with friends to have fun and relax!
