All are invited and encouraged to attend the 33rd Annual SFUSD Arts Festival, showcasing children's visual and performing arts in collaboration with the Asian Art Museum. This 9-day festival has been formally recognized by the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC as the model for children's arts festivals in large urban cities.
The festival will start on Saturday, April 27 and run through Sunday, May 5. Open from 10AM to 5PM each day. Admission is free. On Monday, April 29 the museum will be open for school groups only. Students from elementary, middle and high schools will perform during the day. Have a peak at the daily schedule of events for additional information.
Life-long arts advocates Anne Marie Theilen and Ruth Asawa created the festival which combines the talents of San Francisco's school children with the museum experience. Your support of the Festival is more important than ever to emphasize the importance of art in our children's education. Festival admission is free and includes access to the museum's collection and special exhibition galleries.
Have an hour or two to volunteer? Join the fun!
