Family Needs Assessment and Resources for SF Families
PPS-SF’s outreach team has spent the past two weeks calling to check in with families to see how they are doing during this time. Of the families we have spoken with, most are struggling to balance childcare and work, and to understand and implement distance learning with their children. Many have needs related to food, financial assistance, internet access and housing.
We have been working one-on-one to connect families with resources, and wanted to pass along a list of some of top supports we have been sharing during this time.
Food Pantry Pick-Up Locations
In addition to the many grab-and-go meal sites provided by SFUSD Student Nutrition Services (most on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11-12, but see link for details and updates) there are food pantry pick-up locations throughout San Francisco offering bags of produce and other staple food items.
