Local Events and Activities:

San Francisco Public Library has many fantastic events happening as part of its “More Than a Month” celebration already happening and going through the end of February. Activities for all ages at various branches, including crafts, cooking, drumming, films and spoken word. See the whole calendar in this program guide.

10th Annual Bayview Black History Month & Lunar New Year Celebration on February 1! 10-1:30 at the Bayview YMCA. Event will feature lion dance performance by Lion Dance Me, African American and Chinese traditional dances, singing, arts and crafts, and more.

2020 Black History Month Kick-Off Celebration on February 7th from 12-1PM at the SF City Hall Rotunda.

Museums and Experiences

Visit the Museum of the African Diaspora, the African American Arts & Culture Complex, the Buffalo Soldiers exhibit in the Presidio, the DeYoung Museum Soul of a Nation exhibit, or the San Francisco African American Freedom Trail.
