Next Steps in the Assignment Process

SFUSD mails the Round 1 school assignment letters from Monday, March 22, 2021. This letter is also posted on the ParentVue account of parents or guardians in the Documents tab.

If you are happy with the school assignment you receive. Congratulations! You need to Accept your assignment to register for your school. There are a two ways to Accept your assignment:

  • Visit ParentVue. Login and click the Online Forms button in the top right. Use the drop down menu to select ‘Accept/Decline Assignment’ and follow the prompts to complete and finish the form

  • Mail in the paper form that was included with the letter from SFUSD

If you would like to try for another assignment, then we recommend that you Accept your assigned school, and then participate in the following rounds of the assignment process.

Here are some key dates to remember:

  • March 22. Round 1 school assignment letters are mailed & posted on ParentVue

  • April 9. Deadline to Accept your Round 1 assigned school, online or by mail

  • May 7. Round 2 Deadline. Last day to submit, revise or cancel applications

  • June 7. Round 2 school assignment letters are mailed & posted on ParentVue

  • June 8. Round 3 (Wait Pool) applications open online via ParentVue & EPC

  • June 18. Last day to Accept or Decline Round 2 offer

  • TBD. Deadline to participate in Round 3 (Wait Pool).
