A Letter to Parents, Caregivers, and Educators

Dear Parents, Caregivers, and Educators,

On behalf of Parents for Public Schools of San Francisco, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all the support. As an organization, we have always strived to ensure that equal access is given to all community members regardless of their race, gender, or age. It is during these times of uncertainty that we appreciate that equity now more than ever.

As we look forward, we are also looking to our past to remind us of the impact of these decisions. Our children’s future is heavily impacted by many of our supporters, YOU, many of whom are educators. You have seen first-hand the impact of attentiveness on children’s educational careers and how it can set them up for success.

Many of us can recall a moment during our education when a teacher or administrator helped make a pivotal difference in our lives. It is a singular part of many people’s stories and why they went on to a certain job or degree.

This undying love for public education shines through your role in our schools. Our children see it every day when they engage in our public education system. The everlasting impact of that shows in the success of our students and the foundation of public education.

As an organization, we share this drive to empower our students to be successful in all paths of life.

As we approach this next chapter, we know that the support of community members like yours is unwavering. Your words of encouragement have meant the world to us during this time. We will continue to ensure that there is equity and access in the public school system for all.

Thank you for your encouragement and support of our organization!

Warmly,

Brittany Zendejas
