Info Sessions on Proposed Changes to Student Assignment Policy—Join a PPS-SF 'Watch Party"
Join PPS-SF as we live-stream SFUSD’s Info Sessions!
SFUSD is redesigning its policy for elementary school student assignments and the Board of Education plans to vote on a new policy in early December. Any new policy would not impact families applying to elementary school in the 2020-21 school year (to start in fall 2021), but changes could be in effect for those applying in 2022-23 (to start in fall 2023). The proposal on the table relates to elementary school only, but any change may also have an impact on the middle school feeder system.
Through Community Information Sessions, community members will be able to learn more about key features, ask questions, and provide feedback. The sessions will be broadcasted on Facebook and YouTube Live and the community will be given the opportunity to interact via Thought Exchange. Interpretation will be available. In addition to Thought Exchange, PPS-SF will be offering Watch Party sessions via Zoom on the following dates:

The Watch Parties will happen simultaneously with the Community Info Session to provide space to connect with other families on questions and feedback presented in real time.

Community Information meetings will be conducted in English, Spanish, and Cantonese, as noted in their descriptions. If you need interpretation or ASL for any of the meetings, please register by October 20 and indicate it in the form.
