PPS-SF Back In-Person at Backpack Giveaway Events!

It’s truly amazing to see how community organizations come together to hold an informational and resourceful event for the families of SFUSD and gift each student a backpack filled with school supplies.

It was an honor to have the opportunity to support the communities we serve and collaborate for several amazing backpack giveaway events that took place around the city at the start of the school year. PPS-SF welcomed families, listened to their hopes and concerns for the new year, and shared information and support.

The events were very well organized and well decorated. There was fun and loud music that had everyone snapping their fingers and moving their heads. Some families and children took to the center stage to dance! There were free hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks; and delicious fruity ice cones. The events also held free vaccination and free testing booths.

 Overall the energy was one of joy and happiness! The families seemed eager for information and connection and children were excited to receive gifts and their own fully equipped backpacks.
