Parent Advisory Council Information Session
The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) to the San Francisco Board of Education is hosting an informational session via Zoom at 7:00PM on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
The role of the PAC is to bring together a diverse group of parents/guardians to meet monthly and discuss current educational issues to provide feedback to the Board of Education.
Topics will include the role of the PAC, what it means to serve on the PAC, and how to apply. Translation and interpretation services will be provided.
Anyone is welcome to attend; however, please note that the PAC is particularly interested in recruiting parents from communities that we currently and have historically underrepresented, including but not limited to Arab, monolingual Chinese, Filipino, southeast Asian, and Native American/Indigenous Peoples.
Additional informational sessions will be scheduled for a weekday morning and a Saturday afternoon, dates to be determined, to accommodate families’ varied schedules.

El Consejo Asesor de Padres (PAC) de la Junta de Educación de San Francisco organizará una sesión informativa a través de Zoom a las 7:00 p. M. El miércoles 24 de febrero de 2021.
El papel del PAC es reunir a un grupo diverso de padres / tutores para que se reúnan mensualmente y discutan los problemas educativos actuales para brindar comentarios a la Junta de Educación.
Los temas incluirán el papel del PAC, lo que significa servir en el PAC y cómo postularse. Se proporcionarán servicios de traducción e interpretación.
Cualquiera es bienvenido a asistir; sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que el PAC está particularmente interesado en reclutar padres de comunidades que en la actualidad e históricamente hemos subrepresentado, incluidos, entre otros, árabes, chinos monolingües, filipinos, del sudeste asiático y pueblos nativos americanos / indígenas.
